Do you ever feel inadequate or insecure with who you are?

Are you constantly striving for perfection in all aspects of your life?

Do you think that being perfect will make you more acceptable to others?

Too many people today struggle with the issue of perfectionism or of not being enough just as they are. They constantly worry about how much others judge them and are afraid of revealing any of their imperfections or flaws. This particularly applies to woman and men and body image as they struggle to find the perfect body.

The obsession of wanting to be and look perfect puts far too much pressure on anyone living their life this way. In their chase for perfection they will put unnecessary pressure on themselves to be something that they are not. They will waste a huge part of their life each day trying to be someone different.

 

It’s More About Being In The Moment

In the attempt to be someone different, life will pass you by. In your attempt to get everything “perfect” you will miss out on what life is truly about; being in the moment and experiencing yourself for who you are right now.

How many times have you not done things in your life because you did not feel you looked right? In looking back on those times, whose loss was that really?

When you get so caught up in your pursuit of perfectionism around your body, or anything else in life, you miss out on your own personal journey which is constantly unfolding right before your eyes.

 

Perfection Does Not Exist

Perfection will prevent you from seeing the beautiful life path you are on and not seeing the learning experiences along the way as your journey unfolds before you.

You need to understand that perfection does not exist, therefore it is not attainable!

There is no such thing as the perfect body, perfect life, or perfect person. When you can understand this it will allow you to let go of your constant striving towards this unattainable goal.

 

Enjoy The Journey

Allow yourself to relax into the unknown and into the uncertainty of where your life is leading you. This will allow you to let go of all the stress and uncertainty once and for all! Just allow yourself to go along for the ride and enjoy the journey. You will learn so much more about yourself this way and will begin to reveal more of your true nature to everyone around you at the same time.

It is better to be an authentic person anyway. Most people can see through those who are constantly trying to be someone they are not.

 

Find Your True Authentic Self

So it’s time to stop trying to conceal your imperfections and let your true self shine out into the world. This is the only way to achieve the inner acceptance that you were falsely looking for in the first place during your strive for perfectionism.

As you begin to let the world see and know you for who you truly are it will be very liberating. Allow your true, authentic, inner beauty radiate from yourself.

 

Understand that no one is meant to be perfect in any area of their life. There must constantly be growth and learning in our lives which will allow us to evolve into who we are meant to be. Give yourself permission to have your life changing, personal growth experiences. This letting go process allows you to truly experience life and its most meaningful moments.

By constantly striving for perfection you will end up missing out on the important life lessons you most need to learn. You will tend to spend too much time looking forward from where you are and will miss out on what is most important. And that is what is most precious of all, experiencing NOW.

 

So when you next find yourself striving to become a more perfect version of yourself, remember that you are already perfect enough. Allow yourself to enjoy your imperfections, flaws, and vulnerability.
