Here are 5 signs coming from your body telling you that it is time to detoxify:

1. Cravings – cravings can be sign that your micro biome is out of balance. This is your gut bacteria which plays a huge role in our health and immunity. If you are experiencing cravings for things like carbs or sugar it often is a sign that your gut bacteria are out of balance. We have both good and bad bacteria in our gut and when the bad guys take over, they start to run the show! This means it is time to take a look at your diet and bring back the good guys to bring things into balance.

2. Food Allergies – these continue to be on the rise, especially in our children today. This again is a sign that we do not have the proper beneficial gut bacteria in place so that we can properly absorb and assimilate the nutrients from our food. It is often a sign of leaky gut which is very common today. Often these allergies will express themselves through our skin as the toxins are trying to leave the body. In this case we need to address the gut by first removing the common inflammatory foods, fixing the leaky gut, and restoring the good bacteria.

3. Extreme fatigue – when our body is inflamed, it is working overtime to keep things operating well. It is struggling to keep up with the daily onslaught of toxins causing the inflammation. This can lead to exhaustion, trouble losing weight, hormone imbalance, disturbed sleep, and more. When our liver cannot keep up with the amount of toxins entering the body this begins to affect many other areas of our body as well. Our thyroid, our brain, our reproductive system and digestive system are all affected.

4. Mood disorders – if you are feeling anxious, depressed, if you are turning to food for comfort, these can again be from the accumulation of toxins in the body that are blocking the absorption of our nutrients. Many do not yet know the important connection between our gut and our brain. There are actually more messages being sent to our brain from our gut than there are from our brain to our gut.

5. Heart conditions – when too many toxins accumulate in our body, our heart is also affected which increases our risk of heart disease. Add to that a poor diet we can end up with nutritional deficiencies, high cholesterol, heart attacks or even strokes. Detoxifying the body is a great way to prevent heart disease.

If you or someone you love is suffering from any of the above symptoms, then a detox can be extremely helpful.

Just make sure to go slowly. The best detox should not be one of deprivation, but one that nourishes and heals your body back to health. It is very helpful to work with someone who has experience in this area so that you have the necessary support.

Being part of a supportive community is also beneficial. This way you will enjoy lasting results, and finally find relief from those annoying symptoms.

Too many people live with the painful effects of a toxic system and remain unbalanced in their thinking, emotions, and physical health.

While our bodies will definitely age, we do not have to get older!

Given the right foods and proper lifestyle, our body can begin to work on removing these harmful toxins and restore our energy, keep our minds clear and sharp so we can think clearly.
